(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 17 - The man suspected of murdering two Swedish nationals in an Islamist terror attack in Brussels on Monday, Abdesalem Lassoued, had spent time in Italy in the past.
Lassoued was killed in a shoot-out with police on Tuesday, a spokesman for the Belgian federal prosecutor's office confirmed to ANSA.
A photo on his Facebook profile, which has been taken down, showed him in Genoa's Piazza Della Vittoria in 2021.
He had also been traced and identified by police in Bologna in 2016. (ANSA).
